To pursue such an objective, the project aims at empirically evaluating reverse engineering and migration techniques and tools that can potentially fulfill industry needs. The empirical evaluation will be conducted in three different stages: a first stages aiming at surveying the state of the art and of the practice; a second stage aiming at assessing the different techniques in a controlled environment; and a third stage, in which techniques will be further experimented in industry with some case studies.
